We hired the DB Orchestra to play our wedding reception and it was one of the best decisions we made about the entire wedding weekend. First, in the weeks and months leading up to the wedding, the bandleader made sure all of our favorites were on the playlist, he met us at the venue to make sure it was a good fit, and he went the extra mile arranging some tunes that were special to us. The Hot 5 set a great mood during the cocktail hour and when it came time to dance, the Orchestra was an absolute hit. The dance floor was packed until the last note and all night (and ever since), all we heard from our guests was how great the band was. In fact, several of our friends told us it was the best band they had ever seen at a wedding.
For our first dance, we had planned to dance to a recorded song. When technical difficulties with the venue’s AV systems got in the way, the DBO sprang into action and played a beautiful arrangement of another song—it ended up being a better first dance than we had planned, thanks to the DB Orchestra.
We can’t recommend the DB Orchestra strongly enough and we’re already looking forward to the next time we’re lucky enough to be on the dance floor in front of them!
